JUST BE!- The Intro
Dear friend,
I want to welcome you to this series of online newsletters. I call it "Just Be!", you can call it "Highly illuminating and Totally inspiring!". "Just Be" is like a child born in due season, like a miracle long awaited for.
On 31st May 2004, while in Ibadan, my aunt's residence to be specific, I asked God for a word as I was about to study the Bible. Then I heard in my spirit, " I am going to tell you something about purpose". I turn to John chapter 12 and on getting to verse 20 to 26, I find verse 24 saying, "Verily, verily, I say unto you ,except a corn of wheat fall into ground and die, it bringeth forth much fruit" (KJV). Forget all the heavy stuff, this was the simple message: "Until you die your purpose may never materialise".
What is Purpose? Purpose is the very specific reason you were created by God to fulfill on earth. Purpose is the why you are here on earth. Purpose can only be discovered by asking the very maker of you, God Himself or by studying the bible (Psalm 40: 6,7). Purpose defines your drive; purpose defines your passions; purpose defines your likes and dislikes; purpose blinds you; purpose illuminates you; purpose makes you see things other people would not see; purpose makes you worry about things some people would not bother about; purpose will cause you to do a job not for the seeming benefit, or financial gain, etc, but for the reason that someone out there is impacted positively by the very work you do. I understood that form that scripture quoted earlier.
Truly, I have books to write, poems to sell, ideas and concepts to sell, etc, but why wait till it's all "perfect"? The Bible says, "If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing will happen" (Ecclesiastes 11:4 NLT). You will not always be where you are today! You'll change! you'll be! So, maximise your today! Just BE!
What is "JUST BE!"? It is hidden in the book of Genesis, chapter 1, verse 28:
"And God blessed them (man and woman), and God said unto them (man and woman), BE..." (KJV). Being is about the five cardinal principles of creation i.e. Fruitful, Multiply, Replenish, Subdue and have Dominion. Being is inherent in your personality as a creation of The Most High God. Being is properly activated by coming into the knowledge of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour; that's right! Being a Born-again Christian!
Success is a lot about being and not really about having. My definition of success is being, doing and having what God wants you to be, do and have per time! (I will discuss this in a future edition!). So , JUST BE!
This is what Just BE! hopes to accomplish: to cause you to be despite all odds and at all right costs! By the grace of God, I'll be giving you write-ups, poems, the Word of God, power quotes, insights etc. You'll be blessed thoroughly and inspired to BE! Look forward to next month’s edition! I'll be discussing THE NIGERIAN DREAM!
